Nestled at the foothills of
the Ouachita Mountains, Lake Greeson is located in
Pike County about 50 miles southwest of Hot Springs,
Arkansas. With over 150 miles of natural shoreline
and over 7,000 acres of water for your fishing and
boating pleasure, Lake Greeson offers the best in
recreational opportunities for outdoor
enthusiasts of all ages. The Lake Greeson Wildlife
Management Area which encompasses US Army Corps of
Engineers and timber company lands includes over
35,000 acres which are open to the public for
hunting.

The lake is a nature lover's delight during all
seasons. The intensely folded geology of the
Ouachita Mountains is apparent in the towering
vertical rock outcroppings at the Chimney Rocks. A
wide variety of trees, flowering shrubs, and
wildlife afford photographers and nature lovers many
hours of enjoyment throughout the year. You can
often see white-tailed deer and turkey along the
shore.

For the
"Birder" grand opportunities exist for viewing
migratory waterfowl in season as well as winter
inhabitants such as the Bald Eagle. The Neo-tropical
migratory birds are plentiful in the spring through
the fall. Many sports and activities await the
visitor.
