Marina Safety and
Responsible Boat Owner Policies
Management at Kirby Landing
expects complete compliance regarding marina and
lake safety and responsible boat owner policies.
1. All US Army Corps of Engineers laws and
regulations are to be complied with, including quiet
time of 10 PM to 6 AM.
2. All Arkansas Game and Fish laws and regulations
are to be complied with.
3. Carry-on gasoline is discouraged as it is creates
a dangerous circumstance on the docks. Gasoline
spilled on the water damages styrofoam and creates a
huge fire hazard. If you pour gasoline from a
container into your fuel tank, then do so away from
the docks. Anyone damaging styrofoam or causing a
fire from fuel spilled near or in a dock will be
expected to pay for damages.
4. Storing fuel in portable containers on boats in
the docks is also discouraged due to potential
leaks, the fire hazard and potential for theft.
5. All electrical work will be conducted by a
licensed electrician, and any electrical devices
used outside boats or on the docks will be protected
by Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters to avoid the
possibility of electrocution.
6. Storage of items on walkways, piers, or in the
dock framing is not allowed.
7. Boat owners are responsible for informing
Management of guests that have been granted
permission to use their boat. Boat owners are also
responsible for informing guests of the rules and
regulations as well as appropriate behavior at the
Marina.
8. Children should be supervised by a parent or
guardian.
9. All boats with toilet facilities must be
inspected and approved by the Arkansas Dept. of
Health as “No Discharge”.
10. Any dock modification must have “prior” approval
by Management.
